Whether you’re venturing into the wild for the first time or you are an intrepid explorer hungry for adventure, Ol Pejeta is the perfect destination this long weekend. So what are you waiting for? To help you navigate around the conservancy we’ve outlined 3 itineraries, so if you are with us for just a few hours or for a full day you can  make the most of your time and discover more of Ol Pejeta Conservancy. DISCOVER – (Duration 3-4 hours)

Karibu Sana! Grab a map and get started. Here are some of Ol Pejeta’s top spots to explore.

  • Rongai Main Gate- Arrival and Sign-in
  • Equator Sign – Place a foot on either side of the equator line and be in the two world hemispheres at the same time!
  • Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary– The residents of our chimpanzee sanctuary will capture your heart! Did you know we share 98.6% of our DNA with them? See how much of yourself you can see in our Sweetwaters residents as you watch them socialize, feed and play. All our chimpanzees have been rescued from traumatic backgrounds, and now have a permanent, safe home on Ol Pejeta.
  • Morani’s Restaurant- Lunch
  • Morani’s Information Centre – Our guides are walking encyclopedias when it comes to wildlife trivia and facts, strike up a conversation – you never know what you might learn!
  • Baraka the blind rhino – Take a walk down to the platform meet our black rhino ambassador. You can feed this gentle giant as you learn more about the plight of his species from our guides.

Welcome to Ol Pejeta, explorer! Whether you’ve been here before or you’re discovering Ol Pejeta for the first time, here is a guide to help you uncover some of Ol Pejeta’s hidden gems.

  • Equator – Do you feel lighter? It’s probably because you weigh less here! 🙂
  • Morani Information Centre – Expand your mind with facts you never knew, and chat to our experienced guides.
  • Morani’s Restaurant- Lunch
  • Rhino Cemetery – A memorial dedicated to all our rhinos that have lost their lives to poaching. Come along and pay your respects in this peaceful resting ground.
  • Hippo Hide – Out of sight in our wildlife hide, who knows what you might spot! Get your cameras ready.

SUPERSIZE YOUR SAFARI – (Full Day)

Take the whole day to explore everything that Ol Pejeta has to offer. This is a unique place, with some pretty unique residents, so unleash your wild curiosity and get out there!
