We like to try new things. New ways of doing conservation and community development better. Ol Pejeta was the first to properly integrate cattle and wildlife, allowing for an important revenue stream in support of conservation. We also experiment with new technologies with camera traps to monitor our wildlife movement corridors, tests of drones and the implementation of a comprehensive digital radio system. We experiment with new ways of communicating with people, creating one of the most extensive conservancy social media programmes. We think that experimentation and innovation is a good thing.  We also know that it cannot be successful all the time.  If we fail and learn, and if we fail and share those learnings with other conservancies then we feel we have done our job in role modelling conservation and community development.
